Rochester, NY : Sheriff IDs woman killed in Livingston County crash on Thursday, 25th August, 2016

Livingston County authorities have identified the woman killed in a two-car collision on Route 63 in the town of York on Thursday afternoon.

Karen Blanke, 63, of Pavilion was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash around 3:15 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Route 63 and Chandler Road.

Blanke's vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Jennifer Regatuso, 31, of Dansville, the Livingston County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Regatuso suffered minor injuries, authorities say.

Authorities say Blanke's vehicle had slowed and/or stopped nearing Chandler Road when it was struck.

The investigation to determine the cause and possible contributing factors continues.

Route 63 between Court Street in Geneseo and River Road in Piffard was closed for about four hours while authorities investigated. It reopened around 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
