Licking,OH : Woman killed in Licking County crash on December, Thursday 7th 2017

An 81-year-old woman was killed Thursday afternoon when her car crashed into a box truck and then a car on Route 16 southwest of Granville.

Shirley Ashbrook of Alexandria was driving her 2005 Buick LeSabre westbound on Route 16, west of Silver Road, when she drove left of center and struck the side of an eastbound 2008 Peterbilt box truck driven by Brian Miller, 58, of Sugarcreek, Ohio, the State Highway Patrol said.

Ashbrook’s car continued westbound and struck an eastbound car driven by Ashley Withers, 19, of Pataskala.

Ashbrook was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.
