CLAYTON COUNTY, GA : Driver dies after rear-ending tractor-trailer causing 5-vehicle crash on I-285 in Clayton County on Saturday, 30th September 2023

A major multi-vehicle killed the driver of an SUV Saturday afternoon after they rear-ended an 18-wheeler causing a five-vehicle crash on I-285 west.

Several lanes were closed but the entire interstate opened back up around 9 p.m., according to Georgia Department of Transportation. The wreck happened near exit 58 just under Loop Bridge Road. The tractor-trailer was disabled in the gore after being hit, according to Clayton County Police.
