Orange City,FL : Funeral for Rockland Marine killed in crash set for Friday on July, Thursday 27th 2017

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus is encouraging local residents on Friday to pay their last respects to Montgomery Marine Sgt. Owen Lennon as he’s taken to his final resting place at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.

Lennon, one of 15 Marines and a Navy sailor who died earlier this month in a military plane crash in Mississippi, will have his funeral in Rockland County on Friday and then be buried in Goshen. Lennon, 26, and eight others from the crash were crew members stationed at the Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh.

Lennon is a 2008 Ramapo High School graduate who grew up in Pomona. He and his fiancee bought a home in the Village of Montgomery in January.
