Cary, N.C : Man charged in fatal pedestrian crash on Wednesday night, October 15, 2014

A Cary man has been charged in the death of a Chinese national after police said he hit him with his truck Wednesday night. Police said Steve Biddy, 52, was making a right turn on to Davis Drive from Caviston Way when he hit 64-year-old Wei Ming Yang. Police said Yang was in the crosswalk when he was hit. Yang was taken to Duke University Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Biddy is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle as when was simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said the marijuana was not a contributing factor in the crash as Biddy was not impaired. Source : Cary man charged in fatal pedestrian crash
