Modesto, CA : Three people died in a two-vehicle crash at Highway 219 and Tully Road On Saturday, July 16th, 2016

Three people died in a two-vehicle crash, which caused both vehicles to catch fire, in Modesto Saturday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened about midnight at Highway 219 and Tully Road, officials said. A sedan rear-ended an SUV, causing the fires.

All three occupants in the SUV died, officials said. The driver of the sedan fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind.

The crash is still under investigation. No other information has been released.
