WELLINGTON, FL : Woman, 72, dies in crash south of Wellington on Saturday, 7th December, 2019

A 72-year-old woman died Saturday night after turning in front of a car south of Wellington, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office authorities said.

Dorothy Hagan Black was driving a 2009 Honda Civic west on Lantana Road shortly before 10:30 p.m. She was in the turn lane at Grand Lacuna Boulevard when she pulled out in front of an eastbound 2019 Mercedes C-63.

The front of the Mercedes crashed into the passenger side of the Civic.

Black died at the scene, about one-half mile from her home south of Wellington and west of Greenacres.

The 16-year-old driving the Mercedes, Wellington resident Hayden Bram Tryansky, sustained minor injuries as did his passenger, a 15-year-old girl who lives south of Greenacres. Both were taken to Delray Medical Center.

All three people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts, according to the sheriff’s office.
