Wildrose, N.D : 35-year-old man killed in Wildrose crash on Tuesday evening, January 3, 2017
A 35-year-old man was killed in a pickup truck-front-end loader crash on N.D. Highway 50 near Wildrose, N.D., Tuesday evening, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred four miles south and one mile west of Wildrose at 5:50 p.m.
The patrol said the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was pronounced dead at the Tioga Medical Center Clinic after the truck struck a 2011 John Deere front-end loader. The name of the pickup truck driver and the John Deere driver have not been released.
The patrol said the pickup truck was driving west on Highway 50. The John Deere front-end loader was assisting another loader with a blade attachment stuck in a ditch. The John Deere was parked in the eastbound lane.
The patrol said the Chevrolet struck the John Deere's bucket on the right side, causing both vehicles to spin counter-clockwise. The drivers of both vehicles were transported by ambulance to the Tioga Medical Center Clinic for medical treatment of injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol
Wildrose Ambulance Service, Ray Crash Rescue, Williams County Sheriff's Office, Wildrose Fire Department and Ray Fire Department also responded to the crash.
