Fontana , CA : Driver of Big rig was killed in Flerry crash the truck burst into flames after slamming into a sign on Monday , January 26th 2015

The California Highway Patrol says the driver of a big rig has been killed in a fiery crash that briefly shut down all westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in San Bernardino County.

KNBC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/15Bk8yZ ) the truck burst into flames after slamming into a sign in Fontana at about 3 a.m. Monday.

Arriving officers found the semi, which was carrying a load of frozen chickens, fully engulfed. The unidentified driver died at the scene.

Traffic was backed up for miles following the crash.

The CHP says two lanes were reopened by about 6 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
