ANDERSON COUNTY, SC : Belton woman killed in crash on New Year's Eve on Tuesday, 1st January 2019

A woman was killed in a crash on Highway 20 on New Year's Eve.

The victim is identified as Dawana Arflin Fields, 56, of Belton.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown said family told investigators she was driving home from work at the time of the crash.

Troopers say the accident happened around 10 p.m. Monday near Cheddar Road.

Fields was headed south on Highway 20 when she ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and ran off the left side of the road and crashed into a tree.

She died at the scene of the crash from injuries.

Troopers say Fields was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
