Camden, SC : Single vehicle accident leaves one dead, two injured on Thursday, December 22nd 2016

A single vehicle accident early Thursday morning left one man dead and sent two others to the hospital.

Milton Phillip Sheorn, 53, of Purple Laurel Lane, Kershaw died of blunt force trauma; he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Kershaw County Coroner David West.

According to West, Sheorn, who was driving the vehicle, and two passengers were traveling on Flat Rock Road headed toward Camden at about 1 a.m. Thursday. Sheorn ran through the stop sign at the intersection of Flat Rock Road and U.S. 521, crossing U.S. 521 before striking a tree on the side of the highway.

The two passengers in the vehicle were airlifted from the scene to Palmetto Richland Hospital with undisclosed injuries, West said.

The accident is under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol; a toxicology report on the driver, Sheorn is pending, West said.
