Chesapeake, VA : 1 dies in Chesapeake crash near North Carolina border on Saturday, 24th July 2021

One person died in a crash Saturday afternoon on Ballahack Road in Chesapeake.

Around 2:38 p.m., police responded to the 2100 block of Ballahack after a reported crash with injuries, according to a news release. When officers arrived, they found two vehicles that had been involved in a crash. One was a white Dodge sedan, which was found flipped over and in a ditch, and the other vehicle was a black Honda SUV.

The driver of the white sedan, a male, died of his injuries at the scene of the crash, police said. He has not been identified because his next of kin have not been notified.

The occupants of the SUV were described as a female and two children. They were taken to a local hospital “out of precaution,” according to police. No injuries were specified.
