Las Vegas, NV : Car rolls over in crash on northbound US 95 near Valley View on Thursday , 11th August, 2016

The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a rollover crash Thursday afternoon in the northwest valley.

Around 1 p.m., a single-vehicle rollover crash occurred on northbound U.S. Highway 95 near Valley View Boulevard, the highway patrol said.

The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Las Vegas Fire Department, trooper Jason Buratczuk said. The driver was taken to University Medical Center and suffered nonlife-threatening injuries, Buratczuk said.

The right travel lanes were blocked immediately following the crash but since have reopened.


The highway patrol is investigating why the car rolled over. No further details were immediately available.
