Warwick, R.I : 83-year-old man struck, killed by 92-year-old driver on Main Street in Warwick on Wednesday, March 9, 2016

An 83-year-old man has died after he was struck by a car driven by a 92-year-old woman in Warwick.

Police say the crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on Main Street as the man was crossing the road.

The Warwick man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police haven't released his identity.

Police say criminal charges against the driver are unlikely. They haven't released her identity, either.

They say speed and alcohol don't appear to have been factors.
