BROOKFIELD, CT : 2 extricated after 4-vehicle crash in Brookfield on Wednesday, 5th February, 2020

One person was taken to Danbury Hospital after a multi-vehicle crash at a busy intersection Wednesday morning, according to fire officials.
The collision was called in around 11:15 a.m.
Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company and emergency medical services personnel responded to the intersection of Federal Road and Candlewood Lake Road for a report of a multi-car accident.
The first arriving fire unit reported it was a four-vehicle crash with two occupants pinned in one car and in need of extrication.
The firefighters used hydraulic extrication to remove to the two occupants from the car.
