MADISON, WI : One dead following beltline crash police find suspects car on Saturday, 27th January 2024

Madison police say a person was pronounced dead following a crash which shut down the U.S. Highway 12 beltline for several hours Friday night.

In an update Saturday morning, an MPD spokesperson confirmed a person was hit by a vehicle traveling east bound on the beltline. MPD and MFD attempted life-saving efforts, but they say the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
