Leesburg, FL : 85-year-old man killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lake County on Tuesday, November 11, 2014

An 85-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Lake County. It happened just before noon Tuesday at the intersection of US-27 and South Pelican Isle Drive. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said an 18-year-old female was traveling eastbound in a Jeep on Pelican Isle when she pulled out in front of a Ford van going southbound on US-27. The front of the van struck the SUV's left side. The van's driver, whose identity has not been released pending next of kin notification, was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen was not injured.
