Scranton, PA : Man dies in Susquehanna County crash on Tuesday morning, September 13, 2016
A Union Dale man died Tuesday morning when his Lexus collided with a large truck on a rural highway in Susquehanna County, state police at Gibson said.
Steven Slater, 28, drove a Lexus LS 400 north in the southbound lane of Route 92 and collided with a Kenworth water truck driven by Kamron Patrick Ross, of Montrose, in Lenox Twp., at 2:25 a.m., state police said.
Mr. Slater died at the scene, state police said.
Mr. Ross was taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center for minor injuries. His condition later on Tuesday was not available.
The crash remains under investigation, state police said.
Why Mr. Slater drove on the wrong side of the highway was not clear Tuesday, said Trooper Connie Devens, a state police spokeswoman at the Dunmore barracks, which oversees the Gibson station.
“There’s nothing more on the cause at this point,” Trooper Devens said.
