Marion County, MO : Teen injured in crash on U.S. 24 in West Quincy on Thursday afternoon, August 4, 2016

A Palmyra teen declined treatment for minor injuries after a Thursday afternoon crash in West Quincy.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2007 Toyota Avalon driven by Kenna L. Obert, 16, was traveling east on U.S. 24 in West Quincy, following a 2013 Kia Sorento driven by Taylor R. Nell, 24, of Quincy, Ill. The patrol said because of construction, traffic slowed, and Obert struck the Sorento in the rear. The collision occurred at 4:35 p.m.

The patrol said both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The patrol was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's Department and Marion County Ambulance.
