Clayton, NM : Two injured after semi-truck crash in Union County on Friday night, November 28, 2014

Two people were injured in northeast New Mexico Friday night after a rollover crash in Clayton. Police say a semi-truck was traveling southbound on First Street near Dollar General when the driver lost control of the semi-truck flipping it on its side. The semi then slid across the Dollar General parking lot striking one vehicle that was unoccupied at the time. Fire Chief, Terry Short, says the driver and one passenger were taken to Union County General Hospital with minor injuries. According to Chief of Police, Scott Julian, speed appears to be a factor in the crash and the driver is facing a citation for reckless driving. This is the second crash in the same area in the past ten days and both trucks were hauling potatoes, according to officials. Source : 2 injured after semi-truck crash in Union County
