Glendale, AZ : Two people dead at the scene of a highway crash on Saturday evening September 6th 2014

Authorities in Glendale say two people found dead at the scene of a highway crash had also been shot. Glendale police say an off-duty firefighter witnessed a car going east on the Loop 101 Saturday around 7:30 p.m. when it veered off and crashed near 51st Avenue. The firefighter told police that a man and a woman inside the car were dead. Police now say 29-year-old James Tucker, of Kingman, and 28-year-old Shantel McCormick, of Surprise, each had suffered gunshot wounds. A gun was recovered from inside the vehicle. An autopsy to determine the cause of death is expected to be completed Monday.
