Jamestown, N.D : Harwood, N.D. man injured in Cass County crash on Friday morning, March 10, 2017

One person was injured in a Cass County accident Friday morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at about 6:22 a.m. in the 3800 block of 57th Street North or about a half mile west of Reile’s Acres.

A 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser, driven by a 49-year-old male from Harwood, N.D., was traveling north on 57th Street North when the vehicle entered the ditch and overturned. The driver was found outside the vehicle.

He was was transported by the FM Ambulance to the Essentia Health Hospital where he was treated for what were called life-threatening injuries from the accident and exposure to the elements.

The accident remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol which noted alcohol may be a factor.
