San Diego, CA : Woman Hurt When Car Slams into Wall After Police Chase near Benjamin Hold Road and Paradise Valley Road in the Bay Terraces area on Wednesday, April 1, 2015

Authorities are searching for a suspected drunken driver who crashed his car into a concrete wall and fled the scene, leaving an injured female passenger behind.

The crash was reported after 2 a.m. near Benjamin Hold Road and Paradise Valley Road in the Bay Terraces area, the California Highway Patrol said.

The CHP said officers spotted a car weaving between lanes and tried to pull the driver over, but he sped away.

Officers lost track of the car for a few minutes but eventually found it after it had crashed into a concrete wall.

The driver was gone when officers arrived, but his female passenger was still in the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The CHP said the car was stolen, and as of 4:45 a.m. the driver was not found.

No other injuries were reported.
