Ector County, TX : Andrews man dies in two-vehicle collision on Sunday, 19th February 2023

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the death of a 23-year-old Andrews in a two-vehicle collision in Ector County.

The reported fatal collision happened at 11:52 p.m. Sunday on US 385 about five miles North of Odessa.

Primitivo Aaron Guerrero, 37, of Brownwood was driving a 2012 Chevrolet 2500 pickup, while Juan Rodrigues, 23, of Andrews was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup with passenger Auden Saenz, 20, of Andrews, the DPS press release stated.

DPS detailed preliminary information showed the 2012 Chevrolet was traveling on the wrong side of the roadway southbound in the northbound lanes of US 385. The 2001 Silverado was northbound on US 385 and was collided head on with the 2012 Chevrolet.

Rodrigues was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ector County Medical Examiner’s Office, the press release stated. Guerrero and Saenz were both transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa and both were listed in stable condition.
