A 69-year-old man has died in a tree-trimming accident in a Milwaukee suburb.

St. Francis police say the man was helping his son trim trees Wednesday morning when a branch fell and struck the father in the head.

Police Chief Tom Dietrich says the father was standing on a stepladder and was knocked down.

Dietrich says paramedics arrived to treat the man, but he died.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.
