A southern New Jersey man has been indicted in a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead last year.
The indictment recently handed up by an Ocean County jury charges 51-year-old Island Heights resident Mark Rothlein with leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death.
The charge stems from a March 6 accident on Route 37 west in Toms River. Authorities have alleged that Rothlein was driving his wife's vehicle when he struck and killed 27-year-old Jeffrey Michel of Colts Neck.
