A Westbrook man has died after his car struck a tree early Sunday morning.

Police say 20-year-old Paul Josiah Brock lost control of his vehicle around 4 a.m. on Route 148 in Chester.

He drove through an intersection and crashed into the nearby woods.

Brock was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person in the car.

State police are investigating.
