Memphis, TN : Car crash knocks out power at Knight Arnold Road and Emerald Street on Monday, April 18, 2016

More than 5,000 people were without power after a car struck a power line at Knight Arnold Road and Emerald Street.

From the view of Chopper 5, a car could be seen with heavy damage to the front, as well as damaged power lines nearby.

Police said there was a four-vehicle accident. A witness told police that one vehicle may have struck a building. The condition of the drivers and passengers is unknown.

The outage has since been repaired for many. As of 9:15 p.m., the outage was affecting just under 400.
