A Middletown man is in serious condition after his car struck a pole Wednesday night.

Troopers from the Hamilton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a crash that caused serious injuries to 27-year-old Andrean Spencer.

The car Spencer was driving went off the road on Roosevelt Road near University Boulevard and struck a power pole. Spencer was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted by Middletown Fire crews. Spencer was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.

Troopers say the road was closed for two hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
