Allentown, PA : Motorcyclist died after an accident on Thursday, June 1, 2017

motorcyclist died Thursday after an accident on Route 22 in Easton.

The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the 4:37 p.m. accident on eastbound Route 22 between Fourth and 13th streets, Easton police said in a news release.

The male driver was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill, where he died from his injuries, according to the news release.

The accident is being investigated by Easton police and the Lehigh County coroner's office. Witnesses are asked to contact Easton police Sgt. Ryan Celia through the Northampton County Communications Center at 610-759-2200 or rcelia@easton-pa.gov.
