A 24-year-old Houma man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Assumption Parish morning, State Police said.
The crash claimed the life of Hendrix Stevenson, Trooper First Class Jesse LaGrange said today in a news release.
Shortly after 5 a.m., Stevenson was traveling north on La. 69 in a 1992 Toyota Camry, LaGrange said. For reasons still being investigated, Stevenson veered off the road to the right after exiting a right curve in the highway and struck a tree.
Stevenson, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.
