Phoenix, AZ : Pedestrian died after being hit by a car on an Interstate 10 near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Saturday August 2nd 2014

Authorities say a pedestrian died after being hit by a car on an interstate near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the pedestrian was struck around 10 p.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near 40th Street. DPS says the victim was taken to a hospital but did not survive. DPS officers have not released the name of the victim or the driver or any other information.
