MILLERSBURG, OH : Two injured in crash at C.R.s 40 and 43 on Thursday, 4th October 2018

Two people were injured when two vehicles collided at C.R.s 40 and 43, near Millersburg, at 3:18 p.m. Friday.

According to Elkhart County deputies, a 2019 Ford Fusion driven by Amos Whetstone, 69, Louisville, Ky., was southbound on C.R. 43 and stopped at the C.R. 40 stop sign. As the car continued south, Whetstone failed to yield the right of way to a 1999 Dodge Durango driven by Eric Miller, 25, Millersburg. The Durango was westbound on C.R. 40 and did not have a stop sign, police said.

Whetstone suffered a possible broken left arm, pain to his back and a laceration to his left knee. His passenger, Ervin Whetstone, 91, Tippecanoe, suffered pain to his head, chest pain and non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to Goshen Hospital for treatment. Miller was not injured.

No citations were issued.
