Kentwood, MI : 52-year-old Grand Rapids man struck, killed by vehicle while crossing road in western Michigan's Kentwood on Monday, April 27, 2015

A 52-year-old Grand Rapids man has been struck and killed while crossing a road in western Michigan's Kentwood.

Kentwood police say in a release that Ernest Poole was pronounced dead at the scene after the 5:20 a.m. Monday accident.

Poole was in a crosswalk at an intersection when he was hit.

The 60-year-old driver of the vehicle was hospitalized. His name has not been released as police investigate the accident.
