Monroe, LA : Haynesville man dies after 18-wheeler crashes on I-20 east of the Webster Parish line on Tuesday, August 2, 2016
Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a report of a single vehicle crash Tuesday which claimed the life of a Haynesville man.
Troopers say they responded to the accident at 7:28 p.m. on Tuesday. The accident happened on Interstate 20 about 4 miles east of the Webster Parish line. Preliminary investigation shows that a 2006 Mack Truck driven by 33-year-old Patrick Glover of Haynesville was traveling west on Interstate 20 when, for reasons still under investigation, the truck exited the right side of the roadway, traveled down a steep embankment, and crashed into a heavily wooded area.
Upon arrival, responding officers found Glover unresponsive in the passenger side floor board. Glover was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and sustained fatal injuries. Glover was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bienville Parish Coroner.
Impairment is not suspected, but a toxicology sample was obtained, and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
