Adams Township , OH : 27 Year old Semi Truck driver Hospitalized after lost control of his semi early Sunday, November 23rd 2014
A truck driver who lost control of his semi early today was flown to the hospital.
Mohamed Hussein Mohamed, 27, was driving a white 2015 Freightliner Cascadia tractor trailer west on Ohio 29 just before 4:30 a.m. when he went off the right side of the road at a curve, according to a news release from the Champagin County Sheriff’s Office.
The semi went through a fence and crashed head-on into a group of trees in the 1300 block of state Route 29 West.
Mohamed’s passenger, 26-year-old Mohamed Muhamed Gedi, pulled the driver out of the wreckage, deputies said. CareFlight took the driver to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where he was listed in serious condition Sunday afternoon.
The passenger refused treatment at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
Also responding to the crash was the Rosewood Fire and Riverside EMS and the County Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Team consisting of Champaign, Union, Logan and Hardin counties.
