Arcadia, FL : Bradenton man injured in DeSoto County accident on Sunday, May 8, 2016

A Bradenton man received serious but non-life threatening injuries Sunday when his Chevrolet Trailblazer crashed.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol: Shortly before 6 a.m., Richard Braden, 62, drove east on State Road 70. As he crossed the Horse Creek Bridge, he swerved into the westbound traffic lane, overcorrected to the right, struck a south concrete bridge rail, swerved back into the westbound lane and struck the north concrete bridge rail.

Paramedics airlifted him to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
