Amarillo, TX : 55 year-old Gayla Taylor died in single-vehicle crash on I-40 near McLean on Friday afternoon, Aug 7, 2015

Texas state troopers say a woman is dead following a rollover wreck Friday afternoon.

Just after 5:00 p.m., troopers say 55 year-old Gayla Taylor was driving a pick-up on I-40 near McLean, when she lost control of the vehicle and veered into the center median.

Failing to regain control of the vehicle, reports show she cut across the highway and rolled the pick-up down a steep embankment.

Despite wearing a seat belt, Taylor was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
