A 44-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Moncks Corner early Sunday when his car ran off the roadway and overturned, according to the Berkeley County Coroner's Office.
Garren Jennings, 44, of Moncks Corner, was traveling on Farrell Street at around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday when the vehicle went out of control, ran off the road and overturned. Jennings, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car, said Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Paramedics transported Jennings to Medical University Hospital where he died shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Salisbury said.
Salisbury said Jennings death has been ruled accidental. The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
