Hardin County, TX : No injuries in bus wreck in Lumberton on Thursday morning, January 29, 2015

No students were injured Thursday morning when a Lumberton Independent School District bus backed into a utility pole causing wires to land on the bus.The minor accident happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 6300 block of Deer Park Lane at the intersection with Railroad Lane.

An emergency worker on the scene said the bus driver was attempting to turn around and backed into the pole. Crews working the accident determined the wires are cable TV and not electricity wires. The students were loaded onto another bus and continued their trip to school.

The bus had minor damage.

An officer on the scene said the Department of Public Safety will determine if the driver will receive a citation.
