Greenwood, DE : Truck driver killed in crash on Nine Foot Road in Greenwood on Thursday, November 13, 2014

Delaware State Police say a trucker hauling liquid fertilizer was killed when his vehicle overturned in Greenwood. It happened about 9 a.m. Thursday on Nine Foot Road. Troopers say the driver of the 10-wheel truck was traveling westbound when the vehicles right tires drove off the pavement. Officers say the truck rotated and turned onto its right side. Police say the driver was thrown through the windshield onto the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers did not identify him because his family had not been notified.
