Scottsburg, OR : Coos bay woman dies in near head-on crash on Highway 38 in Douglas County on Saturday night, Sep 19, 2015

Officials say a Coos Bay woman died in a near head-on crash along Highway 38 in Douglas County Saturday night.

The crash was reported around 7:20 p.m. near milepost 20, just east of Scottsburg.

Oregon State Police say she was traveling westbound on Highway 38 when she crossed over the center line for unknown reasons, and crashed nearly head-on with another car traveling eastbound.

She was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver and passenger of the other car were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
