A 13-year-old boy is dead and two other people were injured in a North Carolina crash where the car was found submerged in water Wednesday.
Caleb Smith of Calabash died at the scene of the crash reported around 4 a.m. in Shallotte, about 30 miles southwest of Wilmington, WECT reported.
Two brothers, ages 16 and 19, were treated for serious injuries but are expected to make full recoveries.
Troopers believe the Honda car hit the side of a bridge before landing in water about 7 feet deep.
Smith is the son of a pastor at a church just across the border in Longs, S.C.
