Dunbarton, N.H : Salem man seriously injured in ATV crash near the trails at Hopkinton Everett reservoir on Monday afternoon, July 11, 2016

A 25-year-old was seriously injured Monday afternoon in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Dunbarton, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game.

Conservation officers were informed of the ATV crash near the trails at Hopkinton Everett reservoir around 1:20 p.m.

Officials said Nicholas Massahos, of Salem, incurred serious -- and potentially life-threatening -- injuries when he rolled his ATV over in a sandpit next to the trail.

Massahos called 911 to report his injuries. Conservation officers found him about a half-mile from Stark Lane in Dunbarton.

Massahos was transported from the trail to an ambulance on Stark Lane and was taken to Concord Hospital.

Fish and Game said that neither drugs nor alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
