Eudora, KS : One person injured in a rollover crash on Kansas Highway 10 between Lawrence and Eudora on Monday, February 23, 2015
One person was transported to a Kansas City area hospital following a rollover crash on Kansas Highway 10 between Lawrence and Eudora early Monday.
Levi Wisdom, 33, of Eudora, was driving south on East 1900 Road when he lost control of his 1994 Acura, said Douglas County Sheriff's Lt. Steve Lewis. He slid down the ramp on the west side of the East 1900 Road overpass over K-10; his car rolled over onto its roof and eventually came to rest in the eastbound lanes of K-10, Lewis said.
Deputies and medics were called to the eastbound lanes of K-10 near East 1900 Road just before 3:30 a.m. Arriving deputies reported one vehicle was on its top and blocking both eastbound lanes. Eastbound K-10 was closed under the ramp while the lanes were cleared, Lewis said.
Eudora Township firefighters reported the vehicle sustained significant damage in the crash.
Lewis said Wisdom's injuries were serious but not life threatening. He was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Radio traffic indicated the vehicle's roof caved in "approximately 8 to 12 inches." Wisdom told deputies that he was wearing his seat belt.
The eastbound lanes of K-10 were reopened shortly before 5 a.m.
No other information was immediately available.
