Two people are dead after a car crash on Austin Bluffs near Union Boulevard Thursday morning.
All eastbound lanes on Austin Bluffs were still closed by the noon hour. Only one westbound lane on Austin Bluffs remained open. Traffic was backed up in the area.
Police say a Red Honda Civic traveling westbound on Austin Bluffs lost control and crossed over the eastbound lanes, striking a Gold Jeep Liberty.One person in the Honda was ejected and killed.
The other person was taken to the hospital but died from injuries. Neither person was wearing seat belts.
A white van was also struck, but no one inside was injured.
