Northeast Florida, FL : Deadly driving weekend in Northeast Florida with three fatal crashes in Jacksonville and suburbs on Saturday, 30th November, 2019

On one of the busiest traffic weekends of the year, three Northeast Florida crashes on Saturday killed people.

At 7:25 a.m., on Interstate 295 at Merrill Road in Jacksonville, a 55-year-old Jacksonville man, Brian George, died after his 2002 Mercedes-Benz ML500 crashed into a concrete barrier wall.

At 12:59 p.m., on Interstate 95 in Flagler County, a 62-year-old Atlantic Beach woman, Cynthia Clark, died after a three-car crash involving nine people. A 2016 GMC Acadia, carrying five people, had stopped on the interstate, which led to a 2017 Dodge Ram to crash into it and a 2016 Honda CR-V to crash into the Ram. Clark, who was in the Acadia, died, while two more Acadia passengers were in critical condition Saturday night at Halifax Health hospital in Daytona Beach.

And then at 4:40 p.m., on a backroad in Nassau County, an ATV carrying three people lost control and crashed into a brick mailbox, killing 18-year-old Donovan Parker of Bryceville. A 16-year-old was also taken to UF Health in Jacksonville in serious condition.
