Marshall County, IN : One person injured after two-truck crash on U.S. 31 south of Plymouth on Thursday, April 21, 2016
A driver was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 31 south of Plymouth. A Quickrete semi truck collided with the back end of an ammonia tanker as the driver of the tanker came to a stop at the railroad crossing between Argos and Plymouth. The driver of the ammonia truck, Randy Downey, said he is required to stop at all crossings since his truck carries anhydrous ammonia, a poisonous gas. Downey said his truck was empty at the time of the accident, and there was no concern of a leak. The driver of the Quickrete truck was taken to the hospital via ambulance.
