Lock Haven, PA : Rebersburg man killed in crash on Sunday, 20th May 2018
A Centre County man died when his motorcycle crashed into an Amish buggy in Miles Township on Sunday evening.
The Express updated this information after a report from the Centre County Coroner revealed the man had been driving a motorcycle instead of a car.
Derek Oneal Lehman, 29, of Rebersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police at Rockview.
Police said Lehman was traveling southbound on Broad Street around 6:30 p.m. in his motorcycle when he struck a buggy operated by Ammon Zook Fisher, 25, of Mill Hall, in the rear.
The buggy rolled on its side during the crash but the horse was not injured.
Lehman’s autopsy revealed he died as a result of chest trauma from the accident and Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers ruled his death accidental.
Zook was not injured in the crash, but his passengers, an unnamed female and male, received minor injuries, police said.
State police and Penns Valley EMS responded at the scene.
