HEBRON, KY : Pedestrian hit and killed near CVG in Boone County on Wednesday, 6th March 2024

A 65-year-old man was hit and killed by a driver Wednesday morning near CVG Airport, the Boone County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Petersburg Road and Aviation Boulevard around 6 a.m.

The sheriff's office said a 22-year-old man was driving eastbound on Petersburg Road, while James Moulden, 65, was attempting to cross from the south side of Petersburg Road toward Aviation Boulevard when the 22-year-old struck Moulden.

The investigation found that the 22-year-old had the green light for eastbound traffic. Moulden also was not in a crosswalk when he was hit, the sheriff's office said.
